I really need some detail instructions on how to fix this for windows 8. what you really need is to get the real symptom first. 1603 is just a generic code.. This issue usually comes up if the installation files are stored in the temp folder in your windows 8 system, now to resolve this problem just try to follow the below mentioned steps. [solution] the issue occurred since the program compatibility mode setting on idriver.exe is set to winxpsp3 in the user pc. the issue is resolved when the "run this program in compatibility mode for:" check box is un checked or set to vista/windows 7/8 from the drop down..
