Does anyone know if this motherboard supports the wake on lan function?i've never used a gigabyte motherboard (just got this one, and love it so far), and i've never used the wake on lan function. My motherboard provides wake on lan feature as you mentioned. but, i don't know how to enable the feature. can you tell me?. There is an option to basically turn the lan on or off in the bios. it is on, yet there is no option in power management. interestingly enough, in the bios manual, page 46, the peripherals page shows a "lan pxe boot option rom" which does not exist in the latest bios..
1. pme event wake up is enabled by default in the bios 2. the lan (on board realtek gb) is configured to wake up the pc in device manager (i do have an extra box about 'magic packets' ticked which was ticked by default so i left it). it also connects via a gb switch and linksys router. it connects very fast when the pc is on.. However this gigabyte machine when shut down does not show that switch on button. i think that means the computer is either not being seen while it is off, or, wake on lan is not active. i have gone into the bios and looked a spot to turn on wake on lan, but not seeing it.. Does a gigabyte ga-ep35-ds3l support wake on lan? i can't seem to get it to work..
